Jerry Miller is a native San Diegan you would think is from Arkansas to hear him talk. He would be, too, if it weren’t for World War II. His mom and her people sold their farmhouse in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1943 for $600 and moved to San Diego to work building airplanes. His mom was Rosie the Riveter!
Jerry is a family man. He grew up in an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins. His grandmother always seemed to be giving a bed and a meal to someone who needed it. They had a huge kitchen garden with hens and roosters running around (until the cop next door complained about the roosters). He has his own large family with a son and four daughters. He has been married to Valerie for 26 years. Jerry is a devout Christian who respects and honors the beliefs of those of all faiths.
